The story of The Colony at White Pine Canyon begins long before ski trails and luxury estates. In 1903, John George Condas arrived at Ellis Island and soon made his way west, eventually settling in Park City, Utah. A hardworking pioneer with an enterprising spirit, John began homesteading and building a sheep-herding ranch on the land that would later become The Colony. By the 1920s, his family had established a lasting presence across the alpine meadows and ridgelines that now define this extraordinary community.
Decades later, in 1992, Iron Mountain Associates began crafting a master plan that would preserve the spirit of this land while introducing a new standard of alpine living. The first phase of The Colony was released in 1998—30 homesites that sold out immediately. The developers embraced a "less is more" philosophy, protecting open space and maintaining the natural contours of the landscape that once served as the Condas family’s working ranch.
