In 1890, Salt Lake businessman Thomas Jeremy purchased 20,000 acres near Parley's Summit to establish a sheep ranch. The Jeremy family ran the ranch for four generations before selling 12,500 acres to Dr. Gerald Bagley in 1977. A passionate golfer, Dr. Bagley envisioned a world-class championship course, breaking ground in 1979. By 1982, the 22,000-square-foot Jeremy Ranch Clubhouse, featuring striking glass walls and exposed wooden beams, became a landmark. The project, including the golf course and subdivision, received $6 million in additional investment, shaping the Jeremy Ranch community.
