Glenwild Golf & Spa
The centerpiece of Glenwild is the Tom Fazio-designed 18-hole championship golf course. Glenwild Golf Club and Spa opened its Par 7,541-yard golf course in 2001, and it's approximately 6.500 feet above sea level. The spectacular clubhouse allows members to enjoy year-round amenities in luxury style; a spa, fitness center, fine dining, year-round heated pool, tennis courts, and regular social activities. The non-golfers will enjoy the hiking and biking available on the extensive trail system accessible from the community. Every service amenity one would expect at the finest clubs and resorts in the country has been considered. History ♦ The Kimball Stage Stop & Hotel
Have you ever wondered about the sandstone home on the north side of I-80 near the entrance to Glenwild? It was once an elegant and prominent hotel, The Kimbal Stage Stop, also known as the Kimball Hotel, and is one of the few remaining original station buildings. Built in 1862, served as a vital station on the Overland Stage Route and also operated as a stop for the Holladay Stage and the Wells Fargo Express Company. In addition to guest rooms, the hotel featured a large dining room, bar, store, and—briefly—a post office. It provided lodging and meals to travelers, including notable guests such as Mark Twain, Walt Whitman and Horace Greeley. The hotel was renowned for its dinners featuring fresh trout, wild duck, sage hen, beef, and mutton. This historic Park City real estate landmark was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in April 1971.
