Peoa and Browns Canyon

Peoa & Browns Canyon is located in the southwestern area of Summit County between Jodanelle and Rockport State Parks. The best access to the areas is Wooden Shoe Road and State Route 32.  Peoa was named from a word found carved into an old log in 1857. At one time, Peoa had a hotel, store, and blacksmith. Cattle and dairy farmers also grew lettuce and peas that they sold to the miners in Park City. Browns Canyon consists of large acreage homes and homesites.
