Town Facts
Located in the heart of the Wasatch Mountains, Park City living offers small town living with metropolitan amenities only 30 minutes away. The average elevation within city limits range from 6,720 ft. to 8,400 ft. above sea level. The surrounding mountains rise to over 10,000 ft. and offer some of the country's best skiing, biking and hiking trails. With an average snowfall of over 300 inches in the mountains and 140 in town, people come to Park City for the winters and stay for the summers.
Park City's rich mining heritage can still be found above and below the mountains as well as in town. Sixty-four of Park City's buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places with many of them located on Historic Main Street. There are four distinct shopping and dining areas; Old Town, The Resort Center, Kimball Junction and the Factory Stores at Kimball Junction with 60 manufacturer outlet stores.
