Empire Pass
The Master Developer of Empire Pass is Talisker, who purchased the land from United Park City Mine Company in the summer of 2003. Empire Canyon's land is privately owned by Talisker and not owned by Deer Valley Ski Resort. Access is granted to the resort via its proximity and close working relationship with the Deer Valley Resort.
The majority of the condominiums, town homes and single-family homes in this area are second homes and part of the Talisker Club. There are a limited number of homes and condos that can be built here (550 total). The area that makes up Empire Pass totals more than 3500 acres, of which more than 90% is disignated to remain open space.
Talisker has partnered with other builders to complete The Village at Empire Pass. East West Partners and Ironwood Development are some of the premiere mountain resort developers in the country. East West was the primary developer and master planner of Beaver Creek Village and Bachelor Gulch in Colorado. It currently has major projects underway in Lake Tahoe, Denver, Bachelor Gulch in addition to the Deer Valley, Utah project.
